In addition to the $30,000 raised in one week this film has raised substantial funds via Flattr the social micro-payment startup which actually was co-founded by Peter Sunde of TPB and briefly mentioned in TPB:AFK. This film and Flattr both prove that it is possible to support creators while at they same time support an open interwebs.

In December, U.S. District Court judge Anne Conway presided over an evidentiary hearing to decide the issue of whether Greenfield attained a proper release from the subjects. If so, the release stipulated that disputes would be handled by an arbitrator. The result of the testimony delivered Thursday amounts to a clear victory for Greenfield, with the judge disagreeing with Siegel’s position, which she deemed to be “quite bizarre.”

Having been to Bil’in beginning in Jan. 2006 I APPLAUD all the resisters who have taken a stand in Bil’in and many other villages seeking to End the Israeli Occupation of their land and take down Israel’s Wall where ever it does not follow the Green Line.

The Paradise Lost Trilogy is an outstanding work. I had heard of the case years ago but paid no mind. Then when the WM3 got released a year ago last August I was outraged at the absurdity of such a plea. I found your films on HBO Go on my iPad and was further dismayed by the blind ambition of the one’s with power to those disenfranchised boys, now men. Damien is right, without your presence in the courtroom and your continued interest in the case, he would have been executed. How many Damien’s, Jason’s, and Jessie’s are there out there.

Now for the solutions, too often these so called confessions are manipulated. I love your recommendation to have all confessions filmed. What can I do to further that one initiative, please let me know.

I’m very excited for Call Me Kuchu. I’ve been interested/appalled by what’s going on in Uganda and really wanted to travel there and get some footage. Speaking of which…how exactly does one become one of y’all’s “mentees”? I’m still on college but dream of becoming a documentary maker and would love to hook up with a crew. Any advice?
